Axis Crane upholds the highest standards of safety and strives to exceed all federal, state, OSHA, and ANSI requirements. In adhering to our commitment to safety, Axis Crane has implemented a robust safety plan based on a pervasive company policy, preventative equipment maintenance, and thorough pre-project planning.

COMPANY POLICY

Axis Crane has adopted a company-wide safety policy to operate with caution and responsibility with respect to the safety and health of our customers and employees. This policy includes ongoing training for operators and project managers and strict enforcement of a drug and alcohol policy to ensure a safe work environment for everyone involved with Axis Crane.

PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE

Axis Crane has established a preventative maintenance program for all its equipment, including daily inspections, regularly scheduled maintenance, documentation of all work performed on the equipment, and yearly inspection and certification. Our operator and oiler teams are assigned to their own crane and are responsible for the general care, maintenance, and appearance of the crane. The team's daily operation and maintenance of their equipment ensures that the cranes are finely tuned and the team is aware of any fluctuation in the crane's operation. All of Axis' equipment is overseen and tended to by our Fleet Maintenance Manager and yard crew.

PRE-PROJECT PLANNING

Good communication helps bring every project to a safe and successful completion. Therefore, the foundation for every Axis Crane project is a pre-lift plan and hazard analysis conducted by Axis' crane operator and the customer's crew to make certain that the team understands the lift process and individual responsibilities. This includes ensuring that the rigging crew is competent and capable, the load weight, radius, and clearance are correctly calculated, and the designated signal person is identified. For critical lifts Axis utilizes proprietary tools and CAD engineering to ensure safety and maximize performance.
